Affiliate Disclosure

Effective date: 9 October 2026

Subtle Shift is published by ESTAK STAV, s.r.o. and costs you nothing to read. The money that pays for it comes from affiliate commission, and this page explains exactly how that works, because a reader weighing what the course says is entitled to know who pays for it.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is an ordinary link with a code in it that tells the destination which site sent you. If you sign up at the other end, the company that sent you is paid a commission by an affiliate network, which is the business that sits between advertisers and publishers and handles the tracking and the payments.

The commission is paid by the network out of the vendor's advertising budget. It is not added to anything you pay. The price you see and the terms you agree to are the same whether you arrived through a link here, through a search engine, or by typing the address yourself.

What we are paid for

The affiliate network that operates the link describes the arrangement as paying commission on three events: a sign-up, a first play, and a purchase. That is the whole of what we know about the commercial terms, and it is the whole of what we can tell you.

What arrives from the network is aggregate reporting — how many events occurred and what they were worth — which we use to reconcile payments and nothing else. We neither ask for nor receive anything identifying a reader. The Privacy Policy covers this.

Where the affiliate links are

There are four, all to the same destination: one on the homepage, where the named product is introduced, and one each in Steps 2, 3 and 5.

Each is a plain link that opens the destination directly and carries a note beside it saying it is paid. Nothing here disguises a link or sends you through an intermediate page. There are none in the checklists, and none on this page, About, Contact or the other legal pages.

What the commission does not decide

The commission does not decide what the five steps say. The order of the steps, the questions in Step 2, the six checks in Step 3 and the routine in Step 5 would be identical with no commercial arrangement in place.

It does not decide which checklist items appear, and it has not caused anything cautionary to be removed. Step 3 tells you to read a vendor's terms sceptically, to check the currency and the renewal, and to decide about randomised purchases before you meet one — and that advice applies to the product we are paid to name as much as to any other.

No vendor sees, reviews or approves this material before publication. No vendor has asked us to say anything, and none has endorsed the site.

What does decide the content

Two things. First, the order in which a household actually meets these decisions — which is why a vendor's website is not reached until Step 3. Second, what can be sourced: claims about Australian law link to the body responsible, and what we cannot source is written as general guidance or left out.

The commercial arrangement decides exactly one thing: which product gets named as an example. Star Stable Online is named in the course because we have an affiliate arrangement with the network behind its links. It is not named because we tested it, compared it or concluded anything about it, and the course makes no claim about its price, suitability, content or quality. The editorial method on the About page sets this out alongside the review schedule.

You can ignore every one of these links

The five steps, the glossary, the worked example and all six checklists are complete without them. Nothing is withheld or shortened for a reader who never follows one. If you finish the course and choose a different game, or no game at all, it has done its job.

Trademarks

All brand names on Subtle Shift, Star Stable Online among them, are the property of their owners. Except for the paid affiliate links described on our funding page, none of those owners is affiliated with Subtle Shift, and none has endorsed or sponsored it.

Subtle Shift is not an official source for any product, not a reseller and not a support channel. If you need a vendor's own word on something, go to the vendor.
